I am delighted to learn that Tadong Church is bringing out a souvenir to mark the auspicious occasion of its Silver Jubilee. I take this opportunity to congratulate the entire congregation and like to post a big "thank-you" to Rev Shyam Subba, Minister-in-charge, EPC, and Tadong for having given me an opportunity to express my gratitude to the Tadong Congregation through this magazine.
It is indeed our bounden duty to thank our only saviour, Lord Jesus Christ, Rev. Stephen Lepcha for his faithfulness and trustworthiness for enabling us to move in day to day journey of faith. Needless to say that without Him and his grace, Tadong Church could not have embarked on a long journey of twenty five glorious years. Paul thanked God for the Christians of Theslonica for their faithful work, loving deeds and continual anticipation (1Theslonian 1:3). Similarly vss 6-10, they had become examples to believers throughout Macedonia and Achaia, despite sufferings. In fact, Paul expressed gratefulness for their good example, so, Paul thanked God (vs 2). Tadong Church can be compared with the church of Theslonica with regard to Giving and Gospel work since its inception. Here the Tadong Church embodies the qualities of Christ. Therefore, I thank God for the congregation of Tadong Church.
In this time of celebration I would like to write a few words of gratitude to the Tadong Church for helping me to grow in my spiritual life. I was encouraged to involve myself in all the activities of the church and also to participate in most the fellowships of the church. So, what I am today isa result of the experience I gained through these activities. I am also thankful to youth leaders, then, who showed me the qualities of a leader within me. Consequently, I was able to guide some youths in the church. I feel very proud because most of them have become very good Christians and some of them are persistently serving the church.
